GDMNJ #5

About the mix:
This one is inspired by a teleconference I attended about grief among children and adolescents. I was moved by the stories that children shared about their experiences with grief. A common theme was that children kept seeing their loss over and over in their minds, like a videotape. Another was the mixture of so many different emotions that they experience throughout their grief, and even throughout the rest of their lives. I was even moved by the artwork on the accompanying materials (so I used it here).

About future mixtapes:
I’ve decided that I really do like to do these, and a few of you seem to like them, too. So, when I stop blogging here, I’ll continue to put some mixes up via tumblr & Twitter. So, if you want to keep getting these things, set your newsreaders thusly.
